Halfway there...

Sorry for the late posting. I have been busy writing and dealing with life's ups and downs. I have finished "Hunting for Love" which means Seasonal Seductions is at the halfway point. I am uncertain if it will be released this month, but feel confident it will be released by the end of January.

Jack of Hearts is now available for Kindle preorder. It will be officially releasing on January 1, 2016. I am hoping to have the print edition ready then as well, I will keep you updated on that.

I updated the website with links to the preorder page for Jack of Hearts as well as a profile page for the Kingdom of Granfar...

Happy Holidays to all of you and may the New Year find you happy, healthy and full of life, adventure, love and romance...

Mid Month NaNoWriMo update

Hello all,
I am excited to say I have finished "Snowed Inn" and I have started "Hunting for Love". I am not where I had hoped to be, but I am sitting at around 28000 words so far for the month. Not bad even if I say so myself. It is still my goal to finish all four of the stories for "Seasonal Seductions" in time for a December release.
"Seasonal Seductions" will most likely only be available for Kindle, but it will be free to download - think of it as a Midwinter Fest gift! I am still planning on releasing "Jack of Hearts" in January. It is in its final editing stage. I am going to be including a short story, which I wrote especially for a dear friend of mine (Alyson you know who you are).
I may be including a brief profile of each of the four current Kingdoms I have written about - Weymer, Feywin, Granfar, and Cassar in "Seasonal Seductions" but time will be a factor as to whether that happens...

My thoughts, blessings and well wishes go out to France, its citizens, and all who have suffered in this devastating and horrendous attack. I ask all of you to hug your family and friends, forgive a past grievance, renew an old friendship and otherwise be good to one another. In times like these we need to pull together and not let differences come between us.

Mon coeur est avec la France d'aujourd'hui...

Getting Started

Welcome to the World of Arwin!

Welcome dear readers! I am going to start a blog, which will hopefully expand on the world of Arwin and enhance your enjoyment of the Arwin Adventure Series. First up is an overview of Arwin.
I created Arwin to explore themes, cultures, mores et. that I felt could not be done using conventional earth-bound times and places. For example, I have created a world which has remained, and flourished, in a pre-industrial technology. While they have the technological equivalent to our High Middle Ages/Early Renaissance, they also have some technology more consistent with Greco/Roman times. When I begin the tales in the Empire of Cassar, there will be some steam-punk type elements as well.
Socially, I can base a society on chivalry, honor, duty, etc. I also have an active and somewhat powerful middle class, which in our equivalent time frame was virtually non-existent. I have also increased the overall health of the population through herbal and natural resources.
I also wanted to limit weaponry to non-explosives, making warfare a more up close and personal sort of experience - there is no bombing from a distance (save for longbows). I felt that this discourages warfare to an extent.
Speaking of Cassar, it is a matriarchy. Yes, dominated by women! I try to create powerful, competent female characters and this Empire is an extension of that desire. In contrast to matriarchies in our world, Cassar is actually the country with the highest technology.
The books, so far, are in sets of three - the first three books are set in the Kingdom of Weymer (A Squire's Tale, Jack of Hearts, and Three of Hearts). Each novel in the 'trilogy', as it were, builds on the others, but each stands alone and tells a complete story. I use characters across novels because as I reader I am always wanting more - what happened? How did their lives go after the words 'The End'?
All of my novels will be available for Kindle and in print. As of today, 'A Squire's Tale' is available and I encourage you to begin at the beginning. I hope you enjoy the adventure as much as I enjoy writing it.
